Consumer Reports, the monthly magazine focused on publishing reviews and comparisons of consumer products and services, has put out its reviews on both Apple and Motorola's newest smartphone offerings.
Apple's newest iPhone 5s and 5c received great reviews. Both phones were found to deliver improved performances and longer talk times. The upgrade to the iOS 7 operating system brings the Control Center swipe feature and Siri voice-activated assistant access. Despite these updates, the iPhone fell short with shorter batter life and small screens.
Motorola's new Droid Maxx, Ultra and Mini introduces Google Now's touch-less voice control, Active Notifications which enable users to set up battery-friendly notifications and gesture interpretation even when the screen is off. The Droid also won rave reviews for its extended battery life and talk time.
