Looking to enjoy some classic American BBQ? Stop in at Sweet Baby Ray’s, home of some of the finest, award-winning BBQ around. Warm color combinations, stone and wood finishes and soft lighting create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where you can indulge in one of America’s favorite comfort foods. Weather permitting, the outdoor patio is the perfect spot to kick your feet up while enjoying top-quality BBQ.

Sweet Baby Ray's RibsThe menu features everyone’s favorite, award-winning sauce incorporated into smoky favorites and new selections of steaks, chops, seafood and pastas. While most joints braise their ribs, at Sweet Baby Ray’s, you are sure you are getting authentic, southern-style smoked ribs. And they are amazing. These were some of the biggest, meatiest ribs I have ever had, cooked to perfection, charred but not burnt and juicy on the inside with a slight smoky flavor.

Also popular is the beef brisket—seasoned with a pepper rub and smoked for hours, the pulled pork—seasoned with a dry rub, smoked and hand-pulled, and the BBQ chicken—smoked before being grilled and brushed with the signature Sweet Baby Ray’s sauce. With so much to choose from, I highly recommend ordering multiple dishes and sharing amongst the group. It’s clear from the satisfied looks on diners faces that Chef Duce Raymond, an award-winning competition pitmaster, truly knows how to do BBQ.

Sweet Baby Ray's Brisket SandwichThe best part of eating at Sweet Baby Ray’s? The portions. You know you are always going to get a ton of food. Every time I have gone, we have had enough leftovers to make a meal the next day!

The atmosphere can get a bit noisy, with nights featuring live bands, special days with live entertainers and game nights. But the noise only seems to add to the authentic, old-school BBQ shack atmosphere. Service is great. The wait staff is warm and friendly and sure to make you feel at home.

Whether you are looking to fulfill a craving for some authentic southern BBQ or just looking for a relaxing, laid-back dining experience, Sweet Baby Ray’s is the place to go. Don’t miss out on this Northwest Suburban gem!
